Refund Policy

Our Commitment

We stand behind every order with a quality guarantee. If we don't deliver content that meets our stated standard, we make it right — with a revision or a refund. We keep this policy simple and transparent because we believe you deserve to know exactly where you stand before you pay.

Refund Scenarios

Order not yet assigned to a writer
You changed your mind before any work started. Request a cancellation and we'll refund 100% — no questions asked.
Full refund
Order is in progress — you want to cancel
Your writer has already started. We'll refund 50% of the order price to cover the work completed so far.
50% refund
Delivered content doesn't meet our quality standard
We'll first offer a free revision. If after revision the content still doesn't meet the standard you were promised, we issue a full refund.

Order not delivered within twice the stated turnaround time
If we're significantly late and you no longer need the content, we'll refund you in full.

Content delivered as specified — requirements changed after delivery
If the work was completed according to your original brief and you later change your requirements or decide you don't want it, no refund is available. However, additional revision rounds can be purchased.

Terms of Service violation
If an order is found to violate our Terms of Service (including our Acceptable Use Policy), the order will be cancelled and no refund will be issued.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or revision:

  • Email support@humanquill.com with your order ID and a brief description of your issue
  • Or use the live chat on your dashboard

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 24 hours (business days). Approved refunds are processed immediately and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer.

Revisions

Every order includes a set number of free revisions based on your plan:

  • Starter — 1 free revision
  • Standard — 2 free revisions
  • Professional — 3 free revisions
  • Enterprise — Unlimited revisions until satisfied

Revision requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery. Requests outside this window may be declined or charged at an additional rate.

A revision request must specify what needs to change. Vague requests ("make it better") that don't identify specific issues will be interpreted at the writer's discretion.

Chargebacks

We ask that you contact us at support@humanquill.com before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer. In most cases we can resolve the issue faster than a chargeback dispute process allows.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us constitutes a breach of these terms and may result in account suspension.
